Hunter James is a litigator who has extensive experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants. She has pursued the rights of her clients in matters such as elaborate, multi-party construction cases, including representing property owners and homeowners’ associations against developers, general contractors, sub-contractors, and product manufacturers. She has successfully defended clients against complex accusations involving alleged personal injuries, property damage, defamation, and tort claims. Hunter’s cases range from large commercial clashes, where millions of dollars are at issue, to individual disputes, where the outcomes are very personal to her clients. Once judgments are obtained for her clients, she has pursued collecting on them via supplemental proceedings. Having handled both sides of lawsuits, she has a sophisticated view of litigation and its potential for reaching her clients’ goals.

Hunter lives in downtown Charleston with her husband and two young daughters.
